At the end of last year I got the opportunity to photograph a couple of the trainers at Action Potential Personal Training Studio in Pollock Pines, Jessica Miller and Amy Teel. Both are my friends and I’m excited to see this business taking good shape up here in our mountain town. Jessica Miller moved her business up here this past summer from Placerville in order to be closer to her family and to take advantage of a larger and more flexible space. She picked a beautiful location in the old school house where many businesses working in arts and physical fitness are setting up shop. There is a dance studio, an art school, some artist studios and I heard today that there will will be piano and guitar lessons coming soon. Molly teaches a wonderful Yoga class at AP on Wednesday evenings. How cool is that? It’s a perfect spot for Jessica’s business- well…I say that because I get to work out there too and it is about 5 minutes away from my home which makes it very likely that I sweat more frequently. And sweat you do! In addition to solo training sessions, there are group classes. I love the group class platform- it is supportive and social. I have been teaching and working out with both Jessica and Amy for years and Amy just passed her NASM certification!
On Wednesday am’s, Amy and I switch it up with Kickboxing and Fit Dance every other week (next fit dance class is 1/22 @ 8:45). I know, shameless plug 🙂 But it is more fun with lots of people boogying(and sweating) together!
Both Jessica and Amy are great at what they do. They are always coming up with variations and changes to keep things interesting(and fun) and also to keep our bodies ready for change!
It’s 2014- are you ready for change? It can be hard to get started…but simply just walk through the door…they’ll do the rest to get you going. Come on by and join in the fun!
