Welcome baby Nash!

And then there were five…

This was my third time out to the Monsma home to celebrate their new addition – and by that I mean the adorable Baby Nash (not the master bedroom with the fabulous light that they added on between Elliott and Grady’s births). There is something so lovely about a December baby and the warmth of a Christmastime home. They just go well together.

I loved getting to reconnect with Christy, Quinn, and the kids. Without a doubt, these early days are super tiring for mom and dad- not to mention taking care of the needs of two other young ones. However, what I left with this time was how much love and patience I witnessed in their home. It seems that by number three you have the experience to more easily judge what you need to do, even without sleep- and what requires attention in any given moment and what is best to just let go of. Your babies become kids overnight, and that is new for them, too.  It’s all relative when there is a new baby in the home. It’s amazing how much easier it is to remind a mama how great they are doing than to tell yourself that in your own similar moments. Those kids are so lucky to have parents like Christy and Quinn.

Getting to capture these new memories for this warm and lively family, as a moment in their lives, is something I really enjoyed.  I particularly love the images that remind me of what it was like to be there that day.
