I woke up this morning thinking I’d better get a few of these images up to celebrate Emma’s impending arrival. But who knows, right?
Baby Robles will be making their debut this March so it was a perfect time to get out in the sunshine and capture some pre-arrival photos. The ground was still a bit muddy from all of that rain we had- but we managed to keep Caitlyn’s cute boots fairly clean. Caitlyn and Elijah come referred from some dear friends of mine so it’s always great to get that call. This was a new location for me so we walked around looking for the sweet light- and there was lots to be found. I’m so glad that they chose a package…
“When I hear that robin sing Well I know it’s coming on spring Oo we and we’re starting a new life” Van Morrison, Starting a New Life Miss Claire can’t wait to meet her new little sister at the end of this month, but until then, it’s all about this spunky toddler. She’s just as you’d imagine any toddler to be- curious, cute, adventurous and of course, sometimes demanding. Standing on the shoreline, Claire kept pointing at the lake and then to Dan- saying, “FISH”! Was it a noun, a verb? Not sure but I do think the gist was…
Lola and Chris are expecting their first child at the beginning of April so last week was perfect timing to get in some photographs down at the lake. Lola wore a beautiful, flowing blue dress and was a trooper out in the snow. Chris stood close by putting a big blanket around her between shots. Chris’s stepfather Scott came along and helped including hoping one of my lights as needed. Next month, I’ll get to meet the little one when we get together for some newborn photos. Here are a few of my favorites from the session.
As I posted this, “new parents any day now” Brooke has arrived! Courtney and Joel are going to be new parents any day now and I understand their excitement. They’re embarking on a journey that they really know nothing about first hand- but they’re moving forward with joy, love and anticipation for what is next, together. TOGETHER. This is such an amazing time for a couple. After many weekly calls to Courtney to reschedule due to weather, I finally got to meet them on a snowy(and sunny) late afternoon at Jenkinson Lake. (aka Sly Park Lake). And it’s a good…
Wrapping up 2019…
I always pause at the end of a year and try to take it all in. And while I enjoy the Christmas holidays, I am much happier in general in that space between Christmas and the New Year.
I think this was smart as your photographer is with you all day long at your wedding and it’s important that a couple not only likes you but that they they love your work. Meg and Brandon knew that you don’t get to do important milestones like weddings, nor the photography, over again.
Alot happens in a year. Jaz and I met up with Elizabeth and Greg at Sand Harbor on their one year anniversary. They got married at Edgewood just a year prior and were celebrating in Tahoe with their first baby, Hudson to arrive in just a couple months. It was a sweet session as we chased around the light and Elizabeth was a trooper! We laughed as Greg “parkoured” around the rocks determining if there was a safe way for Elizabeth to get there or not. Look at his face, he is enamored with his bride and soon to be…
At an earlier hour than I’m used to and in the glorious morning mist, I met Lindsey and Zeke at Sly Park Lake while they were in town from the San Diego area, visiting for Thanksgiving. We had planned on a sunset session the day before but the weather wasn’t cooperating so we squeezed a shoot in before they had to head for the airport to go home. I’m sure glad we did. The mist on the lake was so amazing and getting to capture Lindsey and Zeke in that great light was so enjoyable. I first met Lindsey when I…
