A-SESSION LOCATIONS- Mountains

  • I first photographed Madison as a preschooler, and these portraits were taken just one day before her high school graduation. It’s rare to photograph a senior so close to such a major milestone, and I enjoyed having the chance to spend this time with her before the celebrations began. A dedicated FFA member, she spends much of her time caring for and showing livestock. Her biggest passion, though, is horses. She enjoys riding, competing, spending time with her animals, and being outdoors. There is a quiet determination about Madison that comes from early mornings, long days, and the willingness to…

  • Bryce, Vista Del Lago, Class of 2026, brought a relaxed, confident energy to his senior session and is ready for his next adventure at the University of Utah, where he’ll study finance and accounting this fall. He’s especially looking forward to taking advantage of all the skiing Utah has to offer. This summer, Bryce will be coaching lacrosse, one of the many sports he enjoys alongside basketball, football, skiing, and paddleboarding. When he’s not playing sports, he enjoys hanging out with friends, spending time at the lake, hiking, and listening to music. His advice for incoming high school students: explore…

  • A Setting Straight Out of a Fairytale Phoebe and Jake embraced a Ren Faire aesthetic for their engagement session with flowing fabrics, earthy tones, and subtle medieval details. Soft gowns, textured layers, leather accents, and boots grounded the look in realism while still allowing it to feel whimsical and timeless. The forest provided the perfect backdrop for this fantasy-inspired engagement session. Moss-covered logs, winding paths, and patches of dappled sunlight created natural stages for quiet moments and sweeping romance. Congratulations to Phoebe and Jake, who will exchange their vows this November at Newcastle Gardens.

  • What a pleasure it was to work with this cute, local family. Little Miss Goldie is a spitfire, and I had so much fun playing with her. It’s sessions like this that remind me of why I enjoy my job so much. A family that brings the vibes! We moved around in the Gold Ridge forest adjacent to their home as the sun moved through the trees. We captured a handful of headshots, too. Here are some of my favorites from our photo session.

  • As a photographer, you get to witness a lot of love—but every so often, you get to capture something that really sparks your creativity. Courtney and Christian’s engagement session in the golden aspens of Hope Valley was just one of those moments. Their story spans decades: once each other’s first loves, life took them in different directions, only to bring them back together when the timing was finally right. There was something so effortless about the way they moved through the landscape. It wasn’t just a photo shoot; it was witnessing kismet in real time. Their connection is effortless and…

  • Kate is part of McClatchy High School’s Class of 2025 and will be graduating in another week or so.  What a fun time we had out at Sly Park Lake and Forebay Reservoir, chasing the evening light and creating a diverse series of images to capture her big, bold and playful personality. Did we have fun? You bet! She loves fashion design (go figure:), volleyball, soccer, reading, boating and hanging out with friends and family. She will attend UCLA this fall (woot woot) and in 10 years she sees herself living in NYC and working in the fashion industry and…

  • I’ve been photographing this gorgeous young woman since she was in pre-school at Pinetop Montessori so of course I said YES when I was asked to swing by and capture some images of her before she left for the prom for Union Mine High School held at Smith Flat House. As it is in Pollock Pines in the spring, you can’t really depend on the weather and there was a storm happening just up the hill. We were still able to capture some images outside in the sprinkle, well because Madison is fierce like that and a little rain wasn’t…

  • Each year I donate a handful of photography sessions to various fundraising raffles. This particular session was donated to CASA El Dorado, (Child Advocates of El Dorado) who provide support, empowerment, and a voice for the abused, neglected, and at-risk youth in our community. They do important work for El Dorado County and I am happy to support them. As it turns out, Jenn Krueger, the fundraising manager for CASA, won the family session. We headed out to Sly Park after the holidays to capture her family while the kids were all in town. Her parents were also visiting so…

  • I love these two (well 4, maybe 5, I guess) and am grateful for our annual sessions. I met up with Madison, Hailey, Willy and Wildfire…oh, and Ace, Madison’s steer, last week at their place. We planned for a mini session which for me is about 30 minutes. We rescheduled a few times due to the weather which I am always happy to do. Look at them, they are so grown up now! Look at how cute they are here: https://www.lisarichmondphotography.com/blog/madison-hailey-2-horses-and-a-monkey/ Growing like weeds. Happy Holidays to you all and thank you- enjoy your photographs.
