It’s not always “hitting the ground running” with a session, especially with toddlers and a timeframe. While this one started off a bit shaky, we were able to find a rhythm with Miss Madelynn and capture some lovely images. While I’m certain Mandy and Tom, whom I photographed their gorgeous spring wedding in the exact same location in 2019, were wishing they didn’t have an upset little one. The light streaming into their new home was to die for not to mention a beautiful and sunny day after so much rain. Nervous like many clients, exclaiming that they didn’t know what to do in front of the camera, they quickly sorted out that playing and loving on Ella and each other was a natural way to get started. It was easy for them and sometimes just announcing your nervousness is the best thing.

Lindey and Adam got engaged a few months ago at Razor Point on the Torrey Pines Trail in Southern California. It’s a lot of memories you leave behind when you decide to move from the property you have lived on since 2010. I love the process of meeting new families and getting the opportunity to capture something real with my camera. It usually takes a little to get everyone warmed up though it makes me smile when I see it happen. Those little moments where smiles are natural, makes me smile. What a lucky boy you are to have the parents you have.
