When Amanda contacted me last year after learning she and Reed were having another baby, I sighed and thought, I must be getting older….
Now while Amanda and Reed were not one of my wedding couples, Amanda and her sister, Rachel were both El Dorado county high school seniors whom I had the pleasure of photographing…. just a few (lol) years ago. And now- to get to photograph little Owen coming into their lives. What an absolute honor to be remembered after all these years.
Amanda sent me a text as she was going into labor so that we could time the session accordingly. I photographed part of the session at her home and then invited Amanda and Owen over to my home for a little more “Mommy and me” time a week later…and maybe I just wanted a little more baby Owen time…
Congratulations to the Anderson family. There is already so much love for little Owen and big brother Ben is enjoying his new playmate!
While I love the stage my family is at, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything…digging into some newborn time was pure joy. I feel so lucky to have made connections with the people that I have and work that I love because of it. It’s the amazing people, like Amanda that bring life to my work.
This session definitely marks a distinct passing of time for me and I’m digging into that too.
