He just graduated this year and plans on going to Folsom Lake for a couple of terms to figure out what he’d like to do in life. Trevor & Brielle were married at “The House on the Hill”, the home of Brielle’s parents, Irene and Alan in Greenstone. John & Elisha are getting married on July 10, 2010 at the beautiful Fausel Ranch in Placerville, CA. Thank goodness for late starts to summer. Well, the last day of school has come and gone (again) and summer is now upon us. This year was bitter sweet as we wished many well who were retiring this year from Pinewood Elementary School. I arrived that day with the goal of documenting the last day of one teacher in particular, Charlie Ferris.  Charlie’s teaching career spanned 36 years, 24 of which were teaching kindergarten at Pinewood. Twenty six years photographing graduation at Chatham Hall in Chatham, VA. I really do enjoy going back year after year and getting the opportunity to see the school grow and change while also staying the same. It’s the type of perspective you can only get when you are not there day after day. Kim, Vern & their kids all showed up to The Sequoia in a big party bus and basically already had their party started! They were relaxed and easy going.
