Camino-Tree farm and forest

  • One of my end-of-fall sessions took place at my favorite private location in Camino—one that absolutely sings when autumn hits its peak. The colors this time of year never disappoint, and they created the perfect backdrop for a session. I’ve been photographing Tom’s son, Graydon since the day he was born—literally—which makes every session with him extra special. Watching him grow through my lens over the years is such a lovely experience. It’s always a treat to spend time with my friend Tom, whose presence brings so much warmth and ease to every shoot. This session was made even more…

  •   I’m a photographer with a camera… well, a few of them. And honestly, I feel like the luckiest person in the world. I get to do a job I love, and year after year, I get to meet incredible people and stay connected with them as their lives grow and change. The Hayashi family is no exception. From Ross and Kristy’s wedding over 16 years ago, we hit it off right away, and over the years Ross and I have swapped photography tips and gear ideas like photography junkies should. And while we don’t do this every year, this…

  • Sophia is another of those kids, turned adult, who my kids, turned adults, grew up alongside in our small town. Sophia is lovely and I had a great time photographing her. What a beautiful smile- and so much kindness is felt in her presence. Time certainly flies. She graduates from El Dorado High next month and then heads to Chico State to study Criminal Justice. Her sister, Ella also attends Chico State. How great to have someone to show you the ropes! Enjoy this next month and your upcoming adventure. Here are some of my favorites – your complete gallery…

  • This May, Trent will join the Class of 2025 from El Dorado High School as they all walk across the stage into new adventures. At ELDO Trent was All-Conference and MVP, playing defense for ELDO Soccer. When his mom contacted me about photos, we decided on a combo senior/family session since they hadn’t had a family photo in many, many years. They are a dynamic and connected family and I enjoyed their playful energy with me and with each other. Trent’s favorite musicians are Nirvana, Hank Williams, Mike Sherm, 21 Savage and Stone Temple Pilots. I always ask because I’m…

  • I met up with Rebecca, James and seven-year-old, Briar this fall at my favorite Apple Hill fall-color spot. Oh those brilliant colors did not disappoint! I look forward to them every year. We played around in the leaves, and collected firewood:) I ran around with Briar and captured him in all his explorations of new ground! His parents are both outdoor, nature enthusiasts, personally and professionally and it is clear they have instilled that curiosity in Briar. Thanks to Rebecca and James for asking me to capture your family and to the Skalos family for the introduction.

  • I don’t know about you but when someone says “I’m going to take a year abroad” my mind wanders off into an exciting place; fresh exploration and adventure steeping in cultural uniqueness, interesting conversations, delectable food, and the general aliveness one feels while traveling and exploring new ground. Rylie, is heading to Germany after graduation and plans to travel through Europe on her “year abroad”—just SAYING that gets me going! She’s been in German class for the last two years getting ready and while she admits to a little nervousness, and believe me, we all feel that, she will be…

  • I love engagement sessions and the opportunity they provide for me to get to know my wedding couples. Oh my, Grace and Nick couldn’t be any sweeter, any kinder–just lovely people who found each other and lucky for me, found me too! They dove right into their “day date” and embraced their time together while I moved them around in a magical fall wonderland- shifting as the light moved through the trees. They will exchange vows this September at the Flower Farm. Bring on the love fest!

  • Aalijah graduates this spring from Pacific Crest Academy with the Class of 2025. I enjoyed getting to know him and his mom, Sarahkay as we moved through the fall wonderland I have access to up in Camino. It’s a spectacular and private location- you’ll love it too. It took me a bit to gain Aalijah’s trust and dig into some expressions that weren’t planned. He’s got a great smile but you had to find the real ones through his politeness. I enjoy that. Aalijah came to me through a local referral, the Coggiolas. He plans to study biology and business…

  • Curious little one-year-old Jaxon, with the cute, energetic smile spent some time with me in one of my favorite locations cruising around like a pro in the forest with mom and dad, Frances and Bobby who just moved to the area from Carmicheal. Jaxon even learned the word “tree” (‘twee”) as he held a branch from a local species backlit in the sun. Also joining in on the fun was Great Grandma Alice who had been staying with them for several months but would be moving across the country soon.  It was the perfect time to capture some memories. Welcome…
