A-SESSION LOCATIONS- Foothills

  • My good friend Julie referred the Ito family to me and I can’t thank her enough. As it turns out, Sara’s son Logan and my daughter Jaz are in the same 2nd grade class. It is so great to meet yet another cool local family and the Ito boys could not possibly be any cuter. I tell you, it was good exercise chasing them around too! I really enjoy Sara too- she told me to take all the time I needed to get her photographs online(after I explained about some tight senior deadlines I had), but was quick to also…

  • It was such a pretty day at High Hill Ranch in Camino for a shoot! Kayla & her mother arrived and Kayla said she had a hard time deciding what to wear. I asked if she brought other options to choose from… and she did… she brought plenty – so many outfits that she and her mom were joking about considering a short trip after the shoot given the size of the suitcase! She also brought a volley ball & her snowboard- which I love adding into senior photographs! High Hill had great, great  light that day. Kayla’s mom even…

  • Kalene is Graduating! Kalene was so excited for her senior shoot and so were Cassie and I… because Kalene is my other assistant when Cassie is unavailable ! It was really fun & easy to work with someone who not only is so beautiful but that also knew the flow of a shoot and knew us well too. Kalene wanted to go to the Consumnes river for her session, and we found a bunch of great spots including a cool bridge. Congratulations on your upcoming graduation Kalene! Here is your slide show!

  • Vivian contacted me last year while looking for someone to photograph her wedding. She explained via email that she was very musical and had this song in her head for weeks and she couldn’t quite put a finger on WHAT song it was. As she was looking at the wedding slideshow on my website, she realized that the song I used with my wedding images was the song she had in her head, “Let’s Fall in Love”. She said at that point she knew it was meant to be and she called me…I love little stories like that! I met…

  • Amy contacted me back in June because she was planning her wedding. She had been recommended by several past brides as well as Dottie (my buddie:) from Camino Flower Shop and Deanna at their future venue. I love shooting at Fausel Ranch and working with Deanna! Bryan, Amy’s fiancee works for CAL FIRE and after several scheduling attempts we were able to plan a lovely fall session at Boeger Winery. Two lovely people for sure- very easy going and excited about their upcoming wedding. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect- glowing late fall colors and a warm fall day. …

  • October is a big month for the Child family and their offspring. Diane and John Child celebrate their 38th wedding anniversary this week. They have four children Justin, Vanessa, Amy and Emily. I think that they all also celebrate their wedding anniversaries in October. I was fortunate to meet this super fun and kind family while photographing both Emily and Amy’s weddings over the years. Diane and John now also have 4 grandchildren all between the ages of 1 and 2. Their kids purchased them an “extended family session” last Christmas for a gift. Diane loves the fall so we…

  • Minda, Tyler & Banyan met me at Larsen’s Park in Camino for their family shoot. Banyan is 6 months old and such a cutey! It’s always fun and interesting when you are photographing babies and amazing how many towels just one shoot can require! He was so interested in the cars passing by, the wispy blades of wheat and his moms hair. Ah, to look at the world that wide eyed and fresh again…even if for a few moments:) Minda & Tyler enjoyed playing with their son and getting all of his silly expressions to come out for the camera.…

  • Well, apparently Gretchen loves pink! (you think?) After a wonderful engagement session up in high country I knew this wedding was going to be a fun one. Gretchen and Matt decided to see each other before the wedding. This can be a really nice way to go and can really cut down on the time needed to take photographs after the wedding. It gets you to your reception faster! However, the best part is, that they get to see each other all dressed and ready to go (almost in private) and then have a few quiet moments with each other…

  • Andrew has been my neighbor since I first moved to Pollock Pines. I’m looking forward to documenting his wedding for his family as well as Molly’s. Molly and Andrew met at Los Hermanos – Andrew was Molly’s boss and we all laughed about how that is about to change! So far, this couple has had to plan their wedding 3 times because they’ve changed their location but have decided to have their wedding in Molly’s fathers backyard for a relaxed wedding. During the shoot I asked them to whisper in each others ears to get a fun shot; afterwards they…
