I was so excited when Cherise and Chris chose me to document their 3-day camping wedding in Los Gatos. The whole weekend had an air of an intimate family reunion.  They started with a welcome party on Friday night as everyone was arriving. Chip called me a few weeks ago- it seems his old friend and new sweetheart was going to be in town and it was important to him to capture the beginnings of their relationship. Chip and Shannon met at Chico State years ago and were instant friends. Both were involved in other relationships at the time but they confided in each other alot and gave each other advice. We met up with some truly wonderful old friends at Blue Mountain Lake in the Adirondaks in upstate New York this month while visiting Jeff’s parents. Randi and Philippe joined us from Martha’s Vineyard with their family, Miles, Elie and Leo(the doggie), and Henry, Shawn and their one year old, Hugh made the drive up from Ithaca. We spent the weekend, kayaking, party barging down the lake, fishing, running, wake boarding, cooking great food, swimming, reading, and catching up with each other with long late night discussions and other general hoopla. Ok, granted I get a bit nostalgic with these two, well, these three now. Enter Zoe. Tara and Tony purchased a Baby Package when they knew they were expecting. Their package came with three sessions throughout Zoe’s first year and a One Year Brag Book Album. For Zoe, her sessions were at newborn, 4 months(with her grandparents too) and at one year, plus they added a pregnancy session as well. Zoe just celebrated her first year of life and now we get to pick all of the favorites from each of the shoots to create their First Year memory album.…

I had the chance to meet up with Sandi and Terry Friday night at Larsens Park in Camino. Sandi was Jaz’s second grade teacher. Jaz loved her- and so did we. We gave this session to her as an end of the year thank you gift. The light was beautiful, and so were these two! Thank you Sandi for making Jaz’s year in second grade such a fantastic one!

The reception tables were named after the things that join them ( single track, high places, and river play) and covered in beautiful wildflower arrangements. Their unique vows to each other included their desire for a family that loves the outdoors and adventure.

Meet Juno and Kona! Julie and Brian got married back in 2008 – and now they have twins! Jaz and Ember met their babies last month and we are due for another visit soon!

I met Cherise and Chris in Redwood City for their session. Cherise, a hairstylist, and Chris, who works at REI,  are such a fun and vibrant couple. We ended up having a blast at the playground where they got engaged and getting some great images that really show off how fun they are. After the park we decided to grab some of that fantastic evening light over at the shoreline.  I look forward to Cherise and Chris’ wedding at the Laurel Mill Lodge in Los Gatos next month!
