Some senior sessions are about celebrating what’s ahead. Others become a way to honor what’s being left behind. Charlie’s session held both.
We met at his family home in Pleasant Valley, a place filled with generations of history and memories. Originally purchased by his great-grandfather, the property became the backdrop for decades of family life. Charlie’s mom and aunt grew up there, along with all the cousins who spent holidays, summers, and countless family gatherings surrounded by the beauty of the mountains.
The home sits high above Pleasant Valley with a breathtaking 180-degree northern view — wide open skies, rolling hills, and the kind of peaceful outdoor setting that immediately makes you slow down and take it all in.
What made this session especially meaningful was the timing. Charlie’s family was in the process of moving the final belongings out of the home after his mother and aunt made the difficult decision to sell it. Charlie handled the day with such kindness and maturity. He spoke openly about how much he’ll miss the home where he spent so many holidays growing up. You could tell this place shaped him. The time felt less like a photoshoot and more like preserving a chapter of family history.
A dedicated athlete throughout high school, Charlie played both soccer and volleyball. He carries the calm confidence of someone who works hard but stays grounded. When asked where he sees himself in ten years, Charlie shared that he could picture himself working with a sports team someday — a fitting goal for someone whose love of athletics has been such a big part of his life. Right now, studying psychology is his focus.
Senior sessions often capture transition, but this one captured legacy too. A closing chapter for a beloved family home and the beginning of a new season for Charlie.
