Back in 2020 we had plans to do Ryan’s High School graduation photos but COVID got in the way and time moved forward in the blink of an eye, another 4-5 years to be exact. I was so glad when I got the call to get to capture another of Ryan’s graduations, this time from the University of California at Davis. I met up with his mom, Meredith and brother, Ian and moved around to all the great spots. What a beautiful campus, and the late afternoon light is fabulous. There were many graduates and photographers on campus that night- in fact, it allowed us to borrow a mortarboard for a few shots since Ryan’s cap and jacket had not been received yet. Ryan will graduate with a degree in Civil Engineering and plans to move back to the Bay Area to work in construction management. I believe he said he stayed an extra semester in order to play Club Baseball which is a passion of his. What is the rush, right? He also enjoys working out, biking and being active. In addition to capturing some images of Ryan, we included Meredith and Ian, too. I enjoyed the fun they were having with each other but my fav is with the two of them and the stone faces on campus. Hilarious.
I always like to know if Grads have any advice for incoming high school graduates. His response? “Make the most of your time at University. Join organizations, make study groups, and get to know as many people as you can. Try new things.”
