Sacramento Maternity Photographer

I woke up this morning thinking I’d better get a few of these images up to celebrate Emma’s impending arrival. But who knows, right?

At an earlier hour than I’m used to and in the glorious morning mist, I met Lindsey and Zeke at Sly Park Lake while they were in town from the San Diego area, visiting for Thanksgiving. I met Stephanie paddle boarding a few years ago and we connected almost instantly. Set free on the lake, with our paddles and boards we got to know a little about each other as we headed out across Jenkinson Lake. While our lives tug us in different directions, we connect. Lots of love and congratulations to Adam and Ashley who welcomed their first child, Braxton Adam Wells early on April 30. I am so thrilled for them and for their new life adventure. After getting to capture Adam and Ashley, together at the lake, just shy of two weeks before Braxton’s delivery and also Ashley in a beautiful sunset maternity session,  I already know they are becoming amazing parents. Love you all! Can’t wait to meet him.

Following my friends and clients through life milestones is something I’ll never tire of.  Photographing Ashley’s maternity session for her first child was one of those “we are all in this life together, and I love it!” moments.  I met Ashley at a photography class I was teaching and since then, she has often assisted me on lifestyle shoots and weddings.  Calm, composed, and focused, she is a wonderful person to work with, and I know those same qualities that she brings to photography will serve her well in her new role as a mother. Gorgeous light! Gorgeous Danielle! What a wonderful way to celebrate the starting of another generation. Maternity sessions are often some of my favorite sessions for so many reasons. Danielle and William were expecting their first child when I took these photographs several weeks ago at Fausel Ranch, but I’ve been so busy lately that baby Aubree was already born and photographed before I got to get this session out to you all. Keith and Tiffany are expecting a baby and I know they are going to be fantastic parents. I first met Keith and Tiffany when they asked me to photograph their wedding back in August of 2010 in Grass Valley at the Harmony Lodge. I love working with these two (soon to be 3).
