Sacramento Wedding Photographer

Lots of fun and a little bit of friendly competition! That’s how our session with Kristin and Jason was filled. They’ve been together for two years and clearly enjoy playing together on and off the courts. They live in Redondo Beach, where Jason has fun high-fiving people bicycling past. (He says he was practicing his “Calvin Klein look” for this shoot.) Jason works as a motion camera assistant. Kristen is a physical therapist. Her folks have beautiful home in Placerville and that’s where their “big day” will take place. It’s usual to wonder just how the wedding event will go…

Cowgirl boots, stetsons and shot guns. Yeehaw, it’s a country wedding for Briggette and Dean, who married recently on a private estate in Rescue, CA. Briggette’s mom, Sharee, was my daughter, Ember’s, first grade teacher and so I  started off with a special connection to this fun-loving couple. Not that I needed it, I quickly found, during our engagement session at Sly Park Lake earlier this year. This couple is relaxed in front of the camera and willing to try anything for a great shot. It was a beautiful April day for Courtney and Chris’ wedding at the Wedgewood Sequoia.  Despite a hiccup with the bride’s dress that meant she had to switch gowns in the final days, everything was simply perfect – including their amazing purple and gold cake with peacock feathers. Courtney and Chris clearly wanted a day that was focused on them and their love and that’s just what they got. You can see from  their playfulness in the grass outside the Sequoia and the way that they continually kissed during their first dance, that they’re going to be so incredibly happy…

Dulce and Jorge’s wedding at the Wedgewood Sequoia last month was a beautiful joining of two families, bringing together not only the bride and groom but three girls as sisters: Dulce’s daughters, Mia and Karina, and Jorge’s daughter, Kennedy. Jorge’s proposal last year was quite the romantic affair. He took Dulce on a horse and carriage ride through Central Park in New York, accompanied by a dozen red roses and a paparazzi-like photographer that followed along on a skateboard. This was such a fun and unique engagement session for Sheri and Mike, who are getting married in June at the Wedgewood Sequoia. Our location was their farm in Elk Grove that has been in Sheri’s family for more than 100 years. Sheri’s parents moved back to the farm when she was in 7th grade and she and Mike now live there with their herd of 8 does and 20 goats. Sheri shared so many happy memories from her childhood during our session, from feeding the sheep her grandfather bought her at age 6, to “roller-coaster” rides in hay buckets.…

Another beautiful Sly-Park Lake session, this time to celebrate the engagement of Amber and Aric. I shot Amber’s brother’s wedding back in 2009 and was excited to get the call from Amber to photograph her marriage to Aric, which will be held in September at the Serrano Country Club. In addition to watching the happy couple kiss, dance, and piggy-back ride around the lake, I also got to photograph their two dogs, Rocky and Princess Gizmo – neither of which will actually be in the wedding but both of whom took this opportunity to dress up for the occasion in a…
