El Dorado County senior photographer

Sophia is another of those kids, turned adult, who my kids, turned adults, grew up alongside in our small town. Sophia is lovely and I had a great time photographing her. What a beautiful smile- and so much kindness is felt in her presence. Time certainly flies. She graduates from El Dorado High next month and then heads to Chico State to study Criminal Justice. Beautiful Sofia. We had originally met at 24 Carrot Farm for their gorgeous flower backdrop but we got started a little late. Just as the last little bit of sun was tucking away over the hillside and Sofia drove in, we decided to split her session so we did half of it up at Sly Park Lake where the light lingers a little longer and then came back to 24 Carrot the next day, a little earlier for the flowers and some warm sunshine. I’ve photographed Jordan’s family over the years many times including weddings, pregnancy, birth, family….and now they are living in Belgium where Jordan will join them to attend University upon graduating from his high school in Sacramento and he can’t wait! We met up for golden hour last week and captured some images to mark his achievement and it was great reconnecting with him since it has been years. She was on a Cheer Team from Kindergarten through Junior year and then chose to intern in a dental office, senior year, to become a dental assistant while she goes to college. This fall she is moving to San Luis Obispo to attend a community college for 2 years and working as a dental assistant. The ocean calls her however, and she would like to transfer to a good dental school near the ocean.

What fun it was connecting with the Roberts family again, this time for Liam’s senior photographs. Back in 2019 I photographed his sister, Phoebe. Liam was just as photogenic and charming. He brought with him a water polo ball and a carefree, super positive attitude. His smile and laugh float comfortably alongside his easy-going personality. While admittedly a little nervous about all the changes next year, I have no doubt that he’ll settle right into college life. Claire is thoughtfully reflective. As an aspiring author, she spends a lot of time reading and writing stories with fantasy being her favorite genre. She also makes beautiful jewelry which she wore(and I photographed) during her senior session.
