  • As a photographer, you get to witness a lot of love—but every so often, you get to capture something that really sparks your creativity. Courtney and Christian’s engagement session in the golden aspens of Hope Valley was just one of those moments. Their story spans decades: once each other’s first loves, life took them in different directions, only to bring them back together when the timing was finally right. There was something so effortless about the way they moved through the landscape. It wasn’t just a photo shoot; it was witnessing kismet in real time. Their connection is effortless and…

  • Devyn and Aaron chose to wait until Devyn walked down the aisle to see each other for the first time. Having never met them before until their wedding day, it was in that moment that I saw the love they shared. Devyn’s nerves melted into a big ol YES as they spoke their vows to each other. Devyn and Aaron share an enjoyment for most things outdoors, including hiking, camping and fishing. They chose a summer camp theme for their decor with tables designated by National Parks. The evening took off with some hilarious toasts(and roasts) that led into a…

  • I first met Grace and Nick on their engagement session last year as we bopped around to different locations in Apple Hill chasing light and fall color. Not only were they so sweet with each other, but their inherent kindness was felt by me. Lovely, wonderful people. Fast forward a year, and now they are married. They chose the Flower Farm in Loomis for their celebration, one of my favorite venues.  Grace went all out with the decor, which included an amazing dining room, brimming in fall colors, a big, lighted LOVE sign and an outdoor living room, all so…

  • After enjoying a very snowy engagement session with Melissa and Josh earlier this year, I got to know them a little better. I love engagement sessions for that reason- it gives the opportunity, outside of a busy wedding day for a couple to get to know me and how I work and I get to know them, individually and also how they interact as a couple. This information can be priceless, especially on a day when everything doesn’t go exactly as planned. Little did we know at the time that their wedding day would bring in more weather, this time…

  • These two… There’s so much love and excitement in the air around Megan and Ryan and the sweet love they share makes me smile. They found it- they found each other. I look forward to photographing their wedding this October at The Davies Family Inn at ShadowRidge Ranch. Over the last 15 years, I’ve enjoyed capturing many of the O’Rilley milestones including family photos,  a wedding, and even all their graduation photos. Megan is the final O’Rilley to be getting married and it’s going to be a big celebration and the dance floor will be going late into the evening.…

    Erica and James

    by Lisa Richmond

Back in January of this year I first met Erica and James at their engagement session. Due to James’ upcoming deployment to the Middle East, they decided to switch things up a bit. First was the elopement, then the courthouse wedding, then the engagement session, then the big celebration with all their family and friends and now a little extra bit of good news…their newest celebration- arriving in March of 2022. I arrived just before their first look and quickly met the fun crew they had joining them as their wedding party. The ceremony was out on the lawn and…

  • High on a hill, with rows of vines shimmering in diffused light and gently sloping southeast, Elena and Josh exchanged vows at the home of Elena’s parents, Tim and Karen Jolly, owners of a beautiful vineyard and farm, WindRush. Out in the mid-day sun of a vineyard, this exposed location could have sent us photographers seeking shade to find the most flattering light, but not today. The clouds softened the light before it hit the ground all day long while we hit the ground running to capture their wedding day. Avoiding a forecasted rain, there was just a slight hint…
