I first met Erin and Cole in February 2020, right before Covid shut it all down.
Where does the time go? One thing for sure, I am able to mark the passing of another year by my annual Anderson Family session. Jessica recently shared with me this photo of their photo albums that they create with their print order every year and it was so lovely and flattering to see these beautiful treasures marking every year, holding a lifetime of memories. When we are on the other side of covid, Jess and I discussed a wine date so that we can look through all of the years together. I look forward to that. Their session…
I love the process of meeting new families and getting the opportunity to capture something real with my camera. It usually takes a little to get everyone warmed up though it makes me smile when I see it happen. Those little moments where smiles are natural, makes me smile. Sure we had help from a couple cute family doggies who are incredibly loved as well as a curious, local crow. Many thanks to Sharlene and the Kasadate family for coming up to Pollock Pines for photographs. The rest of your gallery will be ready soon.
Well, I got to meet cute lil’ Texas for the first time as he entered this world. Seriously.
Well, it used to be that my most favorite part of photographing newborn sessions was getting a little newborn snuggle-time while also giving a tired mom and dad a little break here and there. In these times of covid, this is unfortunately not possible. I choose not to have any physical contact with these little babies. I can’t wait till this is not the case.
Look how much these two kids have grown, HA -and their adult parents too….though I must admit, they look the same as when I captured them on their wedding day at Fausel Ranch back in 2011.
Henningsen Lotus Park is a favorite location to photograph at and especially in the fall. When Laura contacted me to capture some images of her family, earlier this fall, in their family home before they moved- we had to reschedule at least 4 times or more due to all the smoke in the air. Their home had a beautiful sunset view that was completely covered in all the September/October California smoke from all the fires. Well, while staying local, they did move to a new home so we came up with a plan B. Not bad. I’m going to give…
Maureen and Curt got married at a barn burner surrounded by the love of family and friends and the most delicious food(yay! paella) AND at one of my favorite venues, Fausel Ranch. A pretty stellar evening. This was in June of 2018. After buying a new home in Alameda and a honeymoon in New Zealand, they got to work on a few projects including some home renovations and baby construction. Little Odin arrived in September and I met up with their new expanded family at Fausel to capture them all, including Lucy, their rescue dog who enjoyed the wide open…
I’ve literally been photographing Graydon since he was born. This year’s session was mostly about play and action as that is what this eight year old, ALL BOY is about. But don’t let my ALL BOY declaration fool you because the relationship he has with his dad, Tom is super loving and super sweet- there is so much present love between them. I enjoy getting to spend time with these two each year. For the future, Graydon looks forward to everyone getting to the other side of COVID 19 so that he can be playing soccer again on a team…
