Of course, this Cal Poly Environmental Science major (to be) can easily become “one” with these beautiful branches of an old fallen tree in a field of late afternoon light. What fun it was connecting with the Roberts family again, this time for Liam’s senior photographs. Back in 2019 I photographed his sister, Phoebe. Liam was just as photogenic and charming. He brought with him a water polo ball and a carefree, super positive attitude. His smile and laugh float comfortably alongside his easy-going personality. It’s that time of the year again. Spring is here and with it brings the Class of 2022- this time, it’s Kayla who is excited about graduation. After the previous winter storm had settled down a bit for all of us living in the mountains, I met up with Lina and her parents, Art and Catherine at High Hill Ranch for some senior pics. We trudged around in the snow looking for beautiful light. Lina graduates from Charter Connections Academy in Placerville this May. She enjoys graphic design, reading, video games, and anime and plans to go to Junior College first and then travel to Japan to study graphic design and Japanese.  Congrats Lina and thank you!

It’s always an honor when a family asks me to photograph them and even more so when it’s semi-annually over the last two decades. Love the Littles!  Capturing families year after year is the most rewarding part of my job.  So, of course, I had to dig a little to find some photographs of Jack when he was younger. My husband and I moved to Pollock Pines when Jack was a toddler and it’s been fun watching him grow up the last two decades.…

Fast forward to 2021- and there I was photographing the graduating Jessica at Sly Park Lake just an hour or so before homecoming began at Union Mine. Right? Why not schedule a session when you’re all dolled up ready to roll?

I was supposed to meet up with Ally sometime during the height of the Caldor Fire in our area but with my two-week mandatory evacuation and Ally’s moms work with the El Dorado Foundation raising and distributing money through the Caldor Fire Fund to people in need, we thought a postponement was in order.
