It’s not just varsity basketball at El Dorado High that keeps this athletic, young lady going- don’t forget water polo and Tae Kwon Do of which she has three different black belts. WOW! Talk about dedication.

Lindey and Adam got engaged a few months ago at Razor Point on the Torrey Pines Trail in Southern California. While they are excited about planning their future wedding, they are currently focusing their energies on buying their first home together which as we all know in Northern California, isn’t a walk in the park. At least they got to enjoy this one.

This time of year I get asked about mini sessions. My version of a mini session is a 30-minute session, with the digital files included in the cost. For me, trying to squeeze in a line of families every 15-20 minutes, back to back, doesn’t allow me the time to allow something unique to happen. We can get alot done in 30 minutes…and I still feel like I’m moving quickly. Basically, I’ll take the connection with my customers any old day versus rushing people through. This is the 3rd time I have photographed the Heather family and every time I leave their family session, I’m smiling and my heart is happy. Kids are so real around their pets- it’s a great distraction and you always get real smiles. Who doesn’t love a floppy puppy in photos? Too cute.

I met up with Alex, Matt, Brock and Ellie this year for some more pics…you know the kind where everyone gets to be in them. Trust me, as a photographer, I always joke that my husband and kids are very well documented 🙂 Actually, my husband has been pulling out his iPhone lately, takes a photo and says, “look, you’re on vacation too”. September was locals’ month for me. Ryan and Stephanie’s wedding was the 2nd local-family wedding that I had in September and at a local venue, Shadowridge Ranch. I enjoy witnessing these milestones with people I know. It’s fun to have an insider perspective at a wedding. I was happy to get a chance to meet up with the Fleming family again this year. Their family has grown by one since last year with the addition of cute, little Jackson. We met in Apple Hill at the beautiful Larsen’s Apple Barn Park in Camino. Georgia was one of my pre-schoolers when I photographed them at Pinetop Montessori. My daughter Ember who also loves kids, joined us on the session and Georgia connected with her right away. There is so much love in this family- such a pleasure to capture it! Nothing like coordinating multiple weddings during a pandemic and natural disaster. Their 2nd Save the Date card said, “SCRATCH THAT- SAME TIME, SAME PLACE, NEW YEAR”.

Hello, nice to meet you.
We arrived as strangers at the home of Michelle and Robert at about 7pm, on the day the Caldor Fire evacuated Pollock Pines, though they certainly didn’t make us feel that way. We had spent most of the evacuation day slowly prepping which in 95726, means you’re lucky.

Fast forward to 2021- and there I was photographing the graduating Jessica at Sly Park Lake just an hour or so before homecoming began at Union Mine. Right? Why not schedule a session when you’re all dolled up ready to roll?

I was supposed to meet up with Ally sometime during the height of the Caldor Fire in our area but with my two-week mandatory evacuation and Ally’s moms work with the El Dorado Foundation raising and distributing money through the Caldor Fire Fund to people in need, we thought a postponement was in order.
