Engagement sessions are so great because you come away knowing alot about a couple and how they are with each other, outside of their wedding day, and before their wedding day. Additionally, they get to know and feel more comfortable with me. It’s always a win.

I love these two! And, as it often goes, I met Soudi and Mike at a wedding this summer where they were part of the wedding party of another wedding I was photographing. Cara and Justin were engaged for over three years having met on Match.com.  With family ties to Lake Tahoe, they wanted to be married on the shore of the lake and chose Lakeside Beach in South Lake. Back in January of this year I first met Erica and James at their engagement session. Due to James’ upcoming deployment to the Middle East, they decided to switch things up a bit. It took decades for the time to be right and this past August, the time was right. Nearly thirty years later, their connection was renewed. Dave and Pam met in high school and in fact there is even a photo of them at the dance in their high school yearbook. I love stories like this. It was joy all day long with these two.
